In its 15th season, A Step Above Dance Academy is a staple in the Tri-Cities communities. Owner and Artistic Director, Shannon Clayborn, started ASA with the priority of providing a safe and encouraging environment where students can learn to appreciate not only dance, but all art forms.
Students, ages 15 months through 18 years, can learn in an exciting space, receiving the training necessary to dance in college, professionally or have a creative outlet. In addition to Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Acro and Musical Theater, ASA’s Shooting Stars is a specially designed program for dancers with disabilities, and ASA Company is the studio’s competitive team. Dancers have the opportunity to be inducted into the National Honor Society for Dance Arts, which honors their artistic merit, leadership and academic achievements.
With a positive studio environment and vibrant community, ASA is proud to belong to the Tri-Cities, where the arts are appreciated and healthy, engaging activities for children are encouraged.
