Valley Sheltered Workshop (VSW) is a nonprofit, community day center in Batavia, dedicated to lifelong learning, meaningful work and real-life experiences for adults with disabilities.
At the heart of VSW is a continuing education model designed to help individuals grow, build confidence and achieve their fullest potential.
VSW believes education is one of the strongest tools for helping people step into their authentic adult identity.
Participants engage in academic enrichment, life skills, financial responsibility, social development and personal growth through structured classroom learning. These lessons are reinforced through paid work experiences, volunteer service and community partnerships that place individuals in real environments doing real work.
VSW’s approach is simple: real-life experiences for real-life adults. By combining education, employment and community belonging, VSW is redefining what disability services can look like when people are given the opportunity to learn, grow and contribute.
