In its 15th season, A Step Above Dance Academy is a staple in the Tri-Cities communities. Owner and Artistic Director, Shannon Clayborn, started ASA with the priority of providing a safe and encouraging environment where students can learn to appreciate not only dance, but all art forms.
Paula Price is the founder and owner of Batir Architecture, Ltd., which she has led for over 22 years. “Batir,” French for “to build,” reflects the firm’s core philosophy: build meaningful architecture, enjoy the process and deliver clients a high-quality, collaborative team experience.
Long before Joseph Matty became a respected nonprofit executive, he learned discipline, service and compassion in the U.S. Air Force. He carried these skills into healthcare and, eventually, into two decades of leading foundations, associations and national philanthropic initiatives.
A native to St. Charles, Brian McNally started his award-winning business out of his garage in 2013 by helping his community. Through a strong work ethic, word of mouth and positive referrals, Brian has been able to grow from a one-man business to a company with 65+ employees, including an additional location in Crystal Lake.
For Matt Sidman, leadership has always started at home. Raised in St. Charles and shaped by his time at Marmion Academy and the University of Illinois, he learned that meaningful relationships, at home and in business, are built the same way: be present, never miss a moment, put people first and earn trust.
