J. Thomas Chute has devoted the last 17 years of practicing law to helping “the little guy.” While he started his career at a large defense firm, he did not find the same personal satisfaction as when he began his own practice, representing a person or family who truly needs his help or is struggling financially.
Six years ago, Chute’s partners joined him to create a firm that was more personal and provides personal attention during a trying time for a client. The firm specializes in helping those who have been injured from auto accidents, work injuries or medical malpractice.
Chute prides himself on his commonsense approach to each case, which has earned him a reputation of one of the leading trial lawyers in the area.
Chute, who grew up on the East Coast, came to Chicago for law school at DePaul University College of Law, and has now spent 34 years in the area, raising three kids with his wife in the western suburbs. He is also a frequent speaker at legal seminars, professional organizations and law schools.
