Princeton Club: A Madison Legacy, Built for a Better Tomorrow

Every great city has defining stories — those built on vision, excellence, and community. In Madison, few shine brighter than Princeton Club.

Founded in 1987 by Dave Gerry as a single club on the city’s East Side, Princeton Club has grown into a nationally recognized fitness organization with 11 locations — eight in Madison, one in Milwaukee, and two in northern Illinois. From the beginning, Dave’s commitment to excellence in facilities, service, and member experience set the standard.

Today, that vision continues under the leadership of Andy Haugen, President and CEO since 2016. A Madison native, Andy has led Princeton Club through strategic expansion and reinvestment, ensuring it remains at the forefront of the industry. The club’s mission — “For a Better Tomorrow” — reflects its dedication not only to members’ health but also to its staff and the broader community.

Princeton Club provides world-class amenities, including 24/7 access, swimming pools, hot tubs, group fitness classes, performance studios, saunas, basketball and racquetball courts, strength training and nationally certified personal trainers. But beyond the equipment, it’s a place where goals are met, friendships are built and lives are transformed.

The club’s impact extends well beyond its walls. Through the #ForABetterTomorrow initiative, Princeton Club supports organizations such as University of Wisconsin-Madison Carbone Cancer Center, American Heart Association and Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin — continuing its long tradition of community giving and support.

With a passionate team, decades of leadership and a commitment to its community, Princeton Club isn’t just Madison’s premier health club, it’s a legacy still growing one “better tomorrow” at a time.
