Mike Bakker founded Dutchman Heating & Cooling in 2005, building on years spent in the field and working in his father’s HVAC business. Mike’s Christian beliefs and hands-on experience shaped a philosophy he still leads with today: quality over shortcuts, honesty over pressure and craftsmanship over volume.
Mike remains closely involved in how the work is done, emphasizing accurate diagnostics, careful installation and respect for every home.

Mike is an active member of the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce. Dutchman Heating & Cooling sponsored the 2025 NACC Solemn Oath to Volunteer and is a long-time supporter of Little Friends and Special Spaces. Mike also serves on the board of Special Spaces, where the Dutchman team annually provides bedroom makeovers for children battling cancer.
