Dr. Joshua Foxson, founder of Naperville Oral Surgery & Dental Implants, is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in a state-of-the-art, compassionate setting. His passion for oral surgery began during his dental education, where he became fascinated by the transformative impact of surgical procedures. His experience volunteering in underserved communities further solidified his commitment to making a meaningful difference in patients’ lives.
Dr. Foxson earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biology from Hobart & William Smith Colleges before attending the NYU College of Dentistry, where he was actively involved in research and inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) dental honor society. He then completed an intensive oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. His training encompassed anesthesia, general and plastic surgery, trauma and emergency medicine—providing him with the expertise to handle complex surgical cases.
As a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Foxson upholds the highest standards of surgical excellence. He is on the surgical staff at Edward Hospital and UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Hinsdale Hospital, where he responds to trauma calls.
Dr. Foxson is recognized as a leader in the field through his contributions to education and advocacy. For several years, he has shared his expertise at the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) national conference. Additionally, he was recently featured in AAOMS’s national “New Milestones” public service announcement campaign. As the face of this initiative, Dr. Foxson is honored to represent the specialty and raise awareness about the importance of seeing a trained oral and maxillofacial surgeon for complex dental and surgical care.
Beyond his surgical expertise, Dr. Foxson is also known for his patient-centered approach. He takes the time to educate and reassure his patients, ensuring they feel informed and comfortable throughout their treatment journey.
