Renee Moe stands at the forefront of transformative community impact as the President and CEO of United Way of Dane County. The organization unites a diverse coalition of local nonprofits, businesses, community leaders, families, volunteers and donors to tackle complex societal challenges that no single entity can solve alone.
Moe’s journey began as a military child, allowing her to experience life across three continents and on a farm in Wisconsin. Moe began her career at United Way in 1998 after earning undergraduate degrees in journalism and Mandarin Chinese, as well as an MBA from the University of Wisconsin- Madison. She started as an intern and eventually rose in the ranks to vice president and, ultimately, CEO. She has dedicated more than 25 years to listening, learning and leading innovative solutions to address the root causes of our community’s most pressing needs.
Moe lives in Madison with her husband, Jason; two children, Nick and Nora; and their dog, Pickles.
