Since 1983, Monroe Street Framing has been Madison’s source for exceptional custom picture framing, and always locally owned and operated. Michelle Waldeck, who has owned the shop since 2007, began her career in framing more than 30 years ago.
Located in a historic Prairie-style building in the beautiful Monroe Street neighborhood, the company is known for providing uncompromising quality and superior customer service. Its talented designers and framers are experts in creative thinking, offering “outside the box” solutions as well as one-of-a-kind designs to help enhance the art being framed.
Beyond traditional paintings, photography and posters, Monroe Street Framing can also create custom frames for just about anything, from family heirlooms to clothing and sports jerseys, medals, stamps, musical instruments and collections of all kinds.
Monroe Street Framing also offers commercial framing and has worked with various Dane County businesses such as the Chazen Museum, EPIC, Duluth Trading Company, J.H. Findorff & Son, JP Cullen, the Wisconsin Historical Society and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
