This week we sat down with Marni McEntee, the Editor-in-Chief for BRAVA Magazine. Marni has been the managing editor for BRAVA until recently, when she was promoted to Editor-in-Chief. We are so excited for her and can’t wait to see what she does with BRAVA next!
Check out Marni’s interview below, and check back each week as we shine a spotlight on another Nei-Turner employee.
Fresno, California. But I only lived there until I was 2, I’m told.
More than 30 years in publications, mostly in newspapers, including working as a foreign correspondent at Stars and Stripes overseas for 13 years. I joined BRAVA Magazine in 2014.
What is your creative outlet?
Finding and furnishing amazing homes. I’ve had so many over the years!
What’s your favorite part about working for Nei-Turner Media Group?
I’ve always loved that I can tell the stories of so many amazing women through my work at BRAVA. Plus, I get to write about other stuff that I really love, like homes and gardens and, particularly, the natural world.
In the office, you are the one who…
lately has been listening to relaxation or meditation tunes on my headphones. It really helps keep me focused.
If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?
I’d figure out a way to help more animals in the world—wild and domestic.
If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you have a good chance at winning medal for?
Sleeping. I’ve amassed more golds than Michael Phelps.
Lakes or ocean?
Ocean, for sure. I’m a California girl.
What’s something you’ve been meaning to try but just haven’t gotten around to it?
Seeing elephants, big cats and giraffes in the wild.
Summarize yourself in 3 words.
Totally mellow, dude.
