Nei-Turner Media Group Hires Ashley Quinto Powell as New Vice President of Sales

December 15, 2017, Madison, Wisconsin— Seasoned sales executive Ashley Quinto Powell brings her considerable experience and success to Nei-Turner Media Group, Inc., publisher of high-quality magazines, guides and events, including BRAVA Magazine, an inspiring and empowering monthly Madison-area women’s lifestyle publication and events brand.

Powell will manage sales responsibilities for BRAVA and the Nei-Turner Media Group, Inc. sales force, which has
offices in Verona and Lake Geneva.

Powell is well-respected in the Madison area for her sales expertise and community involvement. She was named a
2017 BRAVA Women to Watch for her national women’s advocacy work regarding both salary negotiations and the
tech industry. She also was named to In Business Magazine’s 40 Under 40 list. Highly engaged in the Madison
community, Powell is involved in a variety of organizations and efforts. She is a primary organizer for Women in
Tech; leadership committee co-chair of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Man and Woman of the Year
Campaign; co-founder of Boss Moms, a group created to help women advance their careers while raising children;
and a member of Downtown Madison Rotary. She sits on the board of directors for Children’s Theater of Madison.
In the entrepreneurship realm, she is an organizer of Forward Fest, a Doyenne Group ambassador, a judge for the
Wisconsin Innovation Awards, and has sat on the organizing teams of Madison Startup week and technical
conferences MKE DOT NET and Write/Speak/Code, the latter focused on increasing the visibility of female
software engineers.

Previous to her new role at BRAVA and Nei-Turner Media Group, Inc., Powell was business development manager
at Bendyworks, a custom software developer, where she grew sales by 83% in her first year. Prior to that, she was a
sales manager for Oxford International, and consistently won awards with her team for outstanding sales
performance. She is known for her ability to inspire both individuals and teams, and build networks. Powell has
impressively garnered over $20 million in personal career sales to this point.

“I have long admired the work that BRAVA does, lifting up and showcasing the work of incredible women in the
area. Madison is small enough that you can interact meaningfully with your heroes, and I’ll get to do just that on a larger scale in this role,” says Powell. Previous to living in Madison, Powell lived in Lake Geneva, home to
BRAVA’s parent company. “Nei-Turner has a great niche and great vehicles for advertisers to reach potential
customers in really pinpointed, efficient ways.  There are some incredibly strong brands under the Nei-Turner
umbrella, and I’m delighted to represent them,” Powell says.

“Ashley is not only well connected in the Madison area, she is also very familiar with Lake Geneva and the
publications we produce for southeastern Wisconsin,” says Barb Krause, Nei-Turner Media Group’s publisher. “Our
company continues to acquire new magazine brands and we required a strong candidate with an impressive history of accomplishments for this new position. Ashley’s sales management expertise will bring continuity to our
organization and equip our sales staff for the changing marketplace of print, event and digital sales.”

“We are simply thrilled to have Ashley join the BRAVA team,” says Editor-in- Chief Kate Bast. “Her sales talent,
leadership and entrepreneurial skills are impressive, and will be great assets to propelling BRAVA and Nei-Turner
Media Group. Ashley’s deep engagement in various efforts and organizations shows her real and effective
commitment to Madison and to women—both important BRAVA values, for which she was recognized as a Woman
to Watch honoree. We’re quite fortunate to be able to embrace Ashley’s firepower, especially her enthusiastic spirit
and passion for building connections locally—and also nationally—toward strategic business partnerships and
greater impact. We’re excited to call her our colleague.”
